Move Over Leopard – Here Comes The Zebra

Every season there’s always a surprise guest at the fashion party. This Spring time say hello to zebra print. Perhaps like me – you’ll be very charmed.

It arrived to the party late but made a quiet but confident appearance. And like all charming party animals, it slowly starting making waves around the room. Its black and white crisp pattern is easy to style and is a nice fresh alternative to last Winter’s favourite animal – the leopard. Team your zebra piece with a block colour – I have chosen white on this occasion but it’s entirely up to you what shade you pair it with .

This week I have worn this skirt with a black short knit and a brown suede coat and my black knee boots but it would also look eye-catching with an attractive primary colour like blue or green. If you’re heading out for dinner swop your boots with heels and unleash your wild side.

I’ve accessorised my day-time look here with some shell jewellery and a beaded bag. Shells and pearls are having a moment this Spring-Summer and both add a little care-free femininity to a more structured outfit.

This skirt is from one of my favourite high-street stores – Mango. It’s not heavy-weight  but has a nice cut and swish to it.  Come Summer, it will also work very well with sandals.

I love switching my dark coats this time of year for a white option which immediately makes you feel a lot more polished than you might feel.

We moved house this week and polished is one thing I don’t feel (dusty cardboard boxes will do that to you)  but this outfit which I wore for a last minute meeting certainly made me feel more pulled together.  GO wild this Spring with some zebra, you might enjoy it.
