One of my favourite stay at home items that have emerged from this January lockdown period has been the simple humble black legging. But they have been reimagined in a more stylish chic way.
Black Friday is just around the corner and I am very excited to see what will be included in the biggest sale of 2020 on some of my favourite luxury sites this year.
I am a big fan of online luxury destination Farfetch in particular and in this post I have compiled a Black Friday wish list from their site.
I always opt for timeless pieces that never fade and that I will use over and over again. I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed that at least some of my wish-list in this post will be part of their Friday November 27 sale. Deep breaths and fingers on the button everyone !
The Stylist and The Wardrobe was recently asked by Farfetch to talk about Birkenstocks. They wondered whether I had any advice on how to style and find the perfect fitting pair.
‘Ugly shoes’ may have garnered a big enough following in recent years to legitimately be called a trend, but the Birkenstock was there first. This previously much-maligned little shoe found itself at the forefront of the fashion world back in 2012, when Phoebe Philo’s fur-lined reinterpretations were seen on the Céline SS13 runway show, sparking a revival that was adopted by stylists, editors and influencers worldwide. Find out how I style mine, and the ultimate guide to size and fit in this post. Read More
I’ve done a round up of the wardrobe pieces that have got me through this dreary old grey lock-down week. A Summer dress wasn’t an option so I turned to other warmer stylish essentials in my wardrobe to cheer me up. I also talk about what home accessories, books and movies I have been a little obsessed with.
I’ve done a little edit of favourite Spring-Summer basics from high-street favourite Arket.
This outfit, jacket, trousers, vest-top and flip-flops is an easy going chic offering for this time of year.
In my opinion no piece of clothing subtly whispers Spring-Summer than a crisp white dress. I’m pretty fussy about them though – not any old white dress will do.
I like them to have personality, style and most importantly if I invest my money in one – staying power for season after season.
I love denims and suede together and this soft as butter jacket from French brand Sezane is a joy to wear. It feels lovely to the touch and fits like a glove. I’m an 8 and took an XS for that more fitted look.
I teamed it with one of my favourite pair of favourite denims from & Other Stories.
Hello February ! We have reached that point of the year where we are yearning for a change of pace. We want to shed a little of Winter and instead add a little Spring feeling to our wardrobe. A clever way to do this is by adding a little soft pastel to our Winter hues.
The denim midi-skirt is predicted to be one of the big come-backs this season. This is indeed exciting news because the denim midi skirt is extremely versatile and easy to wear – just like your favourite pair of jeans.
One of the new subtle and oh so chic colours to emerge this season is this soft beautiful shade – Pistachio Green. It sets off all our other favourite classic colours wonderfully – camel, black, white and cream. One of my first purchases this season in this colour is this wool mix blazer that I am wearing here from & Other Stories. It’s absolutely perfect with black jeans/trousers and a white shirt this time of year. It could also be paired with camel or mocha brown trousers for a chic day time look or worn over an all black outfit.
