I’ve decided since lock-down happened to still make an effort with my wardrobe and what I’m wearing because if I don’t, I’ll end up feeling down and rubbish about myself. And well life is serving up enough of that at the moment without adding more despair to it.

Clothes have always made me happy and I’m taking every little inch of happiness where I can find it these days. So hence let me introduce you to these silk cropped trousers, a new addition to my wardrobe recently.

Airy and perfect for staying at home, they still have that amount of glamour that makes you want to get on with your day the best way you can. reimagines these Antibes trousers in a black and cream crescent print for Resort 2020, tapping the label’s effortless loungewear aesthetic. They’re crafted from smooth silk twill to a mid-rise waist with patch pockets and a buttoned front before draping beautifully to cropped wide legs.

For holidays, not happening now, but they will again in the near future, team with their matching bikini top in the same print giving a co-ordinated pulled together vacation beach look.

Or while at home these days, throw on a linen white shirt from Arket for an effortless Spring-Summer look. Arket are doing some lovely organic linen things at the moment. I’m determined more than ever to have only pieces in my wardrobe that work hard on a daily to yearly basis and these are certainly going to do that over the next few months.
