Red Stripes And Sunbeams

Will I ever tire of red stripes and off-the-shoulder tops ? Probably not.
Add this season’s puff sleeve to this intoxicating mix and this little red stripe gem from Mango was very difficult to say no to.
Stripes are glamorous, easy peasy and chic. The French live in them, what’s not to love. The more the merrier I say. Stripes and I are certainly in this fashion union for life.

This cotton red stripes from Mango, with its little draw-string front detail sits just right with high-waisted jeans, trousers and skirts.
I’ve accessorised it with these favourite earrings of mine, these gold Sunbeam Hoops, from Carousel Jewels.

Handcrafted by this lovely stylish brand, who have a fabulous selection of gorgeous pieces, these earrings are something a little extra special.
The right accessories can add another dimension to an outfit, and I love the big earring trend at the moment.
If your outfit is on the minimal or dark side, it’s really easy to add a pop of colour and interest with a dangling earring.
These pair look especially glam with the off-the shoulder top or dress.

I’ve teamed my candy stripes with these burgundy velvet kick-flare trousers from Matches Fashion and now in the sale. These M.i.h Jeans’s are a flattering silhouette.
They’re brimming with thoughtful, figure-enchancing details – note the high-rise waist, the refined jet pockets that frame the hips, and the lifting darts at the back.

For that fun twist, this Topshop natural straw pom-pom bucket bag gives a little quirky contrast to anything from a pair of trousers to a holiday dress.

This straw goodie would look amazing with jeans and a simple white top.
Anything goes this season, so don’t even dream of matching your accessories. Stand out pieces, whether its jewellery, shoes or bags are much more interesting.

I’m determined this year to make the most of every summer sunbeam. I’m not even going to think or utter the word Autumn until September. I am having too much of a good time with my summer wardrobe to even contemplate moving on. Enjoy your stripes and sunbeams.
