Layering This Winter And Feeling Festive

Winter layering

When somebody decided to discuss layering with me when I was younger, I naively thought it was about heaping on as much clothes as possible to keep warm.
Little did I think, that layering is actually a skill in itself, especially if you want to pull off a warm but stylish look.

When layering this time of year, nobody wants to look like they got dressed in the dark.
That’s why little life hacks like this fine rib striped polo neck from Me & Em are a godsend.
This is thin enough to wear inside your chunky knits and it looks wonderfully styled too.
I love a little mustard this time of year, and I invested in this Mohair jumper from Maje last year.
Sadly, it sold out pretty quickly but I’ve gone and located a few similar styles and added them to my Shop The Post for you guys to have a look at.
Mustard, stripes, and blue jeans work effortlessly together.

Lately, I have been investing more in my jeans. I’m buying less high-street and relying more on structured styled pairs like these wide-legged beauties from Rag & Bone.
These Ankle Justine jeans are high-rise and have a wide leg but nothing too dramatic. The high-waist is very flattering and makes you look slimmer and makes your legs look longer.
They look great with a heeled boot but equally go with a crisp white trainer.
I’ve been loving New York born Rag & Bone jeans over the past year. They always do denim really stylishly.
Layering for Winter doesn’t have to be a time consuming crusade, just invest in a few of the right basics and you’re all set.
So on another note, feeling Christmasy yet ? London is in full Christmas mode already. And the city feels lovely and festive. The count down has begun.
