Just A Few More Sleeps Until Christmas

So it’s nearly here – that big day where we overeat, drink and be merry, the official one day off from guilt, surrounded by loved ones.
But of course as adults, it’s more about having the chance the days after or before, whenever our jobs and children allow us to unwind a little, restore and patch ourselves together again so that we can start a new year fresh and energised.

My ambitions this festive season are quite simple. To sit on our couch for longer periods and watch a film without staring at my iPhone for the whole two hours it’s on.
To spend less time staring at my iPhone in general over the festive season – I’m dreadful at doing this.
To finish reading my book – I’m reading Owen Sheer’s ‘I Saw A Man’ – it’s gripping – can’t recommend it enough.

I hoping to catch up with my sister and some friends after the 25th. For the big day itself, we are going to our London based lovely relatives for dinner and I am going to squeeze in a short trip to Ireland in-between Archie’s birthday in January.

I’m going to use this entire bottle of the Inner Strength Bathoil from Aromatherapy Associates with lovely things in it such as Clary Sage, and Frankincense and some of these lovely bath products from Wood/Grey

On Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve, you’ll probably find me in these cropped flared black velvet trousers from Rag & Bone, and these much loved red velvet Tabitha Simmons strapped pumps – already half price in the Net-A-Porter sale.
They are the kind of shoes, I have always wanted in the back of my mind, but could never find the perfect ones – until now.
Love them with frayed denims and leather trousers too.

I’m pairing my trousers with this gold shiny foil top from Zara and this patent leather box bag from & Other Stories.

Whatever you get up to this year – I wish you a very happy one with lots of love and merriment.
And thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog in 2016. I work very hard to deliver a nice read and I really appreciate you taking the time to look it up.
