How The Right Accessories Can Change EverythingFashion
TWO of the most hard working accessories, I bought this year was this circular belt from Frame denim, (and now on sale at Net-A-Porter) and two skinny scarves, a plain black and a gingham patterned one.
Anytime I want to jazz an outfit up a little I add something from this useful pile. The skinny scarf trend which snuck in last year, is thankfully going nowhere for Autumn.
There’s something very chic and old school about tying of these little scarves around your neck or in this case here, flinging them on over a white shirt in a loose fly by the seat of your pants kind of way.
Cropped military trousers are a terrific alternative to black and look very urban smart teamed with a white shirt or striped top.
I always like to buy my shirts a little oversized and make them my own by rolling up the sleeves. If you don’t want to spend a fortune – Uniqlo are a good go to for Oxford style, well fitting shirts that are perfect for layering.
My leather camel tote, which I use on busy work days to lug around the kitchen sink, is available here at Madame Pompon.
And no outfit is complete without a stylish pair of shoes or sandals. I’m big into anything criss-cross and Grecian at the moment and these Cara ones from Apiedi are perfect for summer days in the city or equally a stylish choice for any holiday.
