The Teddy Coat And All That Cosiness

Here comes the Teddy Coat

With a cute name like that – you have to investigate. The premises of this name is of course the cuddly appearance of this piece.
It’s like wearing a giant Teddy hug, once you throw it on.

The oversized nature of this faux fur Teddy Coat from Warehouse means that it’s certainly a non-chalant throw on piece.
But don’t let this relaxed cuddly nature fool you – this is still a hard working stylish piece.
I love this shade of nutty caramel too – it reminds me so much of Autumn. It conjures up ideas of crunching brown leaves, drinking hot-choclate and bringing Archie trick or treating.

This one I’m wearing is definitely my favourite one on the high-street. It looks more expensive, it’s warm on and I love its chic slightly oversized feel but yet unlike many Teddy coats, it doesn’t feel particularly bulky on.

I’ve styled mine with a glossy leather skirt, it also looks amazing with denims, leather trousers and thrown nonchalantly over a dressy dress.
Teddy coats keep you warm, and give you a much needed hug against those chilly Autumnal mornings.
Wear yours with all black like me or with breton stripes and dark distressed denims.

The Teddy Coat is definitely not a coat you can work in a cute preppy way but you need to wear it with attitude.
You need to wrap it around you like a duvet cover and cuddle it, like it’s your new best friend .
You can dress it up with accessories like a chain bag or with hoop earrings and nice hair.
Of course most fashionistas will be seen rocking the Teddy coat with a takeaway coffee in one hand, while the other one has is firmly placed inside one of its cosy pockets.
See you’re never too old to get a great old hug from your favourite Teddy.
