Gingham Trench Coats For Spring

Trench Coats In Glorious Gingham For Spring

Hands up, if like me, you loved unwrapping some of those layers over the past few days. Nobody I know can get them off fast enough.
Replacing my heavy wool coat or parka with something a little lighter has been the biggest joy.

We are all more than a little Winter weary and definitely ready for a change in season, more sunshine, more blue sky.
Right now we are in that in-between awkward transitional phase with our wardrobes, where we can take Winter down a notch but still have to be prepared for those random freezing grey days.
Tomorrow it could be January all over again.

Trench coats are a perfect option to look transitional, stylish and bulk free this time of year.
Rather than opting for a more traditional beige or navy number, this year, I’ve purchased this exciting but versatileGingham version from Topshop.
It goes brilliantly with camel cashmere knits like this perfect J-Crew version here at Net-A-Porter.
This keeper of a basic is made from exceptionally soft cashmere in a versatile camel hue.
The crew-neck style is cut for a relaxed fit and has rolled trims to further its effortless feel.
It’s the perfect layering piece for transitional weather and something that you will use time and time again, year after year.
Team it with this gingham trench coat, blue jeans and these soft sling back rusty mules from Mango

These are a perfect in-between heel for day time.
They feel and look a lot more expensive and could easily be mistaken for a high-end designer pair.
I have a life that involves running from A-to-B and back to C on a permanent basis. Unfortunately, there is no space for a high-heel.
For me, these mid block heels with a wrap round ankle lace are the perfect solution.
Adding a pop of red to a classic outfit is also one of my favourite things to do this time of year.
