An Edit Of My Favourite Autumnal Checks

An Edit Of My Favourite Autumnal Checks

Autumnal checks in granite greys are definitely something to shout about this Autumn. A check blazer is an easy peasy piece to wear over denims or a more formal trouser – like this season’s new wider leg. It will keep lots of last year’s basics looking right up to date.

How to style those grey checks

I do like to cheer this conservative grey up with a vibrant coloured top underneath. Wearing a strong red, or a mellow Autumnal ochre is a fab way of giving your check a little more punch.
Wearing a structured blazer over frayed denims is another favourite look of mine – contrasting opposites – the structured against the unruly.
Big sunnies help too.

Check Mate

Designers went slightly mad for plaid on the catwalks this season, and we’ll be covered in the stuff for Winter.
From coats to suits that you can you can wear from day to night – the world’s your oyster when it comes to styling it any way you like.
Pair a check coat with some denims for a dressed down more casual look, or go for the whole plaid suit if you’re working in an office, or just fancy looking ultra smart, just because you’re that kind of girl.

I have done an edit of my favourite high-street pieces that are currently available in store. I especially adore this Mango coat here that is bound to be a sell out piece.
Personally, I can’t resist brightening up the whole check game with this season’s red or mustardy yellow to avoid that wintery washed out feeling.
Also this Autumn, a white polo neck inside a blazer is a new updated way to wear it instead of the more formal white shirt.

Leave your structured shirts at home and instead wear a light knit or a polo inside for a bang up to the minute look.
Autumnal checks are also a great way to look stylish yet smart heading into the office. Winner all round.
